Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi announced that attacks on Israel would persist in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, despite recent Israeli airstrikes near Yemen’s Hodeidah port. In a televised speech on Thursday, al-Houthi declared that Israeli retaliation would only strengthen their resolve.
Israeli fighter jets targeted Houthi military sites near Hodeidah on Saturday, resulting in at least nine deaths and 87 injuries. This came a day after a Houthi drone struck Tel Aviv, Israel’s economic hub.
“The response is inevitable,” said al-Houthi. He emphasized that the group’s attacks in support of Palestinians in Gaza would not be halted by Israeli airstrikes. “Everything that happens from the side of the Israeli enemy will be more incentive for revenge,” he added.
The ongoing conflict underscores the tensions in the region, as Houthi forces continue their assaults in support of Gaza, undeterred by Israeli military actions.
