Hezbollah announced early Sunday that it launched a barrage of Katyusha rockets targeting the Israeli Kela barracks in the occupied Syrian Golan.
This action comes as a response to what Hezbollah perceives as Israeli aggression toward villages and towns in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese armed group stated that the rocket attack was a direct retaliation for Israeli strikes on Lebanese territories.
Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes in multiple areas in southern Lebanon on Saturday night, accompanied by intense artillery shelling aimed at various towns and villages.
Tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border have been escalating since October 8, 2023, when Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel in solidarity with Hamas’ attacks.
In response, Israel retaliated by firing heavy artillery toward southeastern Lebanon, exacerbating the already volatile situation in the region.
