Lebanon’s Hezbollah launched a drone attack on military posts in the kibbutz of Amiad, located in northern Israel, approximately 22 kilometers from the Lebanese border. The armed group announced the attack in a statement on Wednesday, although the Israeli military has yet to confirm the strike.

For the past 10 months, Hezbollah and the Israeli military have been engaged in ongoing hostilities, coinciding with the Gaza war between Israel and Hamas. This conflict has spread to multiple fronts, raising concerns about a broader Middle East war.

In response, Israel’s military reported bombing Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley overnight. The airstrikes, which targeted a residential area near Baalbek, left at least two people dead and 19 injured, according to security sources.

Additionally, an Israeli airstrike hit a car near Sidon, killing a member of the Palestinian faction Fatah’s armed wing, as reported by Palestinian sources and the National News Agency. The victim was identified as Khalil al-Maqdah, brother of Fatah General Mounir al-Maqdah.

Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging near-daily strikes against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza.
