Hezbollah announced on Friday, July 26, 2024, that it carried out nine operations against Israeli military positions along the Lebanese-Palestinian border in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and their resistance.
In a statement, Hezbollah said, “In support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their resistance, the Islamic Resistance carried out a number of operations against the Israeli army’s positions and deployments along the Lebanese-Palestinian border on Friday, July 26, 2024.”
The statement detailed that the Islamic Resistance’s air defense units launched anti-aircraft missiles at Israeli fighter jets within Lebanese airspace in the southern region, forcing them to retreat and withdraw behind the Lebanese border.
Additionally, Hezbollah targeted a technical system at the Ramya site with a guided missile, achieving a direct hit and destroying it. The group also attacked Israeli soldiers moving inside the Hadab Yaroun site with appropriate weapons, resulting in direct hits.
Hezbollah’s statement mentioned that the Ramtha site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Shuba was bombarded with rocket weapons, achieving direct hits. The Zibdin site in the Shebaa Farms was also targeted with rocket weapons, resulting in direct hits.
The statement further revealed that buildings used by Israeli soldiers in the Shtula settlement were targeted with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits in response to attacks on southern villages and homes, particularly in the town of Aita al-Shaab.
Moreover, Hezbollah stated that it targeted a building used by Israeli soldiers in the Avivim settlement with appropriate weapons, achieving direct hits in response to the shelling of the town of Aitaroun. Buildings used by Israeli soldiers in the Misgav Am settlement were also targeted with appropriate weapons in response to attacks on southern villages, especially the town of Sheheen.
In addition, Hezbollah launched an aerial attack with a squadron of kamikaze drones on the Al-Raheb site, targeting its equipment and the positions of soldiers, confirming the destruction of one of its technical systems.
