A group of European Parliament members has issued a statement urging the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to exclude Israel from participating in football tournaments.

The official statement, released on Friday, highlighted the European Parliament members’ call to FIFA and UEFA, urging the expulsion of Israel from football competitions.

This move is prompted by the ongoing genocidal massacres carried out by the Israeli military against the Palestinian people in Gaza and other occupied cities.

The EU Parliament members’ appeal to FIFA and UEFA to ban Israel from football mirrors the broader international community’s frustration and impatience with the ongoing violence and the lack of progress towards a peaceful resolution.
