Dubai Customs helped Japan’s customs authorities to seize up to 700 kilograms of narcotic methamphetamine powder at a value of nearly $310 million.

The drugs were stacked in boards loaded on a cargo ship from an Asian country. The cargo ship and narcotic substances were seized in the port of Tokyo, which marked the second-largest amount of drugs confiscated in Japan.

This joint operation aligns with a series of operations in which Dubai Customs assisted other countries, resulting in the seizure of large quantities of drugs.

In this regard, international customs administrations hailed the vital and effective role played by Dubai Customs in curbing drug smuggling around the globe.

They also highlighted its ability to confront customs risks at local as well as global levels in order to reduce smuggling and harming societies and youth.
