Guido Clari, the head of the North Africa Regional Center of the European Investment Bank (EIB), stated that the launch of the “Hafiz” platform is an innovation aimed at bringing together all relevant parties and the private sector with financing tools provided by the EIB.
Clari added that the European Investment Bank has provided support of around 7 million euros, with a significant portion directed towards supporting the private sector to achieve sustainable development.
He explained that the European Investment Bank is an environmentally friendly institution that promotes green transition principles and supports the perspective adopted by the Egyptian government.
It was confirmed that an agreement has been signed with Banque Misr to provide support for small and medium-sized loans amounting to around 70 million euros, targeting youth and women, with financing covering up to 100% of the loan and an interest rate cost of up to 25,000 euros.
The services offered by the European Investment Bank are available on the “Hafiz” platform and are regularly updated according to the information needed by users, representing a development in the support provided to Egypt.
