EgyptAir has announced the cancellation of its flights to Lebanon, citing the ongoing turmoil in the country and continuous Israeli airstrikes.

According to a statement obtained by Sputnik News on Monday evening, the airline stated, “Due to the events in Lebanon, EgyptAir has decided to cancel its flights from Cairo to Beirut on Tuesday.”

The statement detailed the cancellation of flight MS713, set to depart at 5:00 AM, and flight MS709, scheduled for a 9:15 AM departure from Cairo, pending stabilization of the situation in Lebanon.

Earlier, Lebanon’s Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi described the situation in Lebanon as “delicate and dangerous,” warning all Lebanese of the risks posed by Israeli strikes.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported that the Israeli raids have resulted in 492 deaths and 1,645 injuries.

Israeli media outlets reported that the Israeli Air Force initiated a second wave of intense and broad attacks targeting Hezbollah locations in southern Lebanon, focusing on densely populated areas where Hezbollah allegedly stores its weapons.

Lebanese media earlier today reported a series of intense and extensive airstrikes by Israeli forces targeting various regions and towns in southern and northern and western Bekaa in Lebanon.

Israel’s Broadcasting Authority reported that the military is currently launching a new wave of airstrikes in Lebanon, marking the fifth set today, while Channel 12 Israel speculated that targeting Beirut or Tel Aviv could escalate to a full-scale war.
