Israel continued its raids across Lebanon, extending its strikes into the heart of the capital, Beirut.
Lebanese Health Minister Firas Al-Abiad reported on Thursday that 1,974 people, including 127 children, have been killed over the past year due to Israeli attacks.
The Lebanese army also confirmed that one of its soldiers was killed in southern Lebanon when Israeli forces targeted a military site. Lebanese soldiers returned fire.
On Thursday, Israeli fighter jets renewed their bombardment of Beirut’s southern suburbs, launching three new airstrikes without prior evacuation warnings, following 17 airstrikes the previous night. The strikes reportedly targeted Hezbollah’s media office.
Additionally, Israeli jets bombed a house in Maaysra, in the Keserwan district, and continued air raids in the south, hitting the town of Kfartibnit in the Nabatieh district. In the same region, another airstrike on a house in Arnon killed three people and injured two others.
