At the third Asian Cooperation Dialogue summit in Doha, Saudi Arabia called on nations worldwide to support the two-state solution as a pathway to resolving the Middle East conflict.
The summit was dominated by discussions of the escalating conflict in Gaza, Lebanon, and the broader region.
Representing Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that continued aggression and violations in the region hinder international trade, heighten political tensions, and threaten investment and economic cooperation.
He reiterated the importance of resolving regional conflicts through peaceful and diplomatic means, thanking Asian Cooperation Dialogue member states for supporting the two-state solution and recognizing the State of Palestine. He urged other nations to follow suit and highlighted Saudi Arabia’s role in establishing an international coalition to implement the two-state solution.
Prince Faisal emphasized that the region’s political and security tensions, particularly in Palestine and Lebanon, pose significant obstacles to economic development and trade progress.
