The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the mediation efforts led by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to achieve a ceasefire and secure the release of hostages in Gaza. The UAE expressed full support for Egypt in addressing Israeli claims concerning the Philadelphi Corridor, according to reports from Gulf News.

The UAE strongly condemned Israel’s offensive statements, warning that they could destabilize the region and worsen the situation. The country expressed hope that the ongoing efforts would end the conflict, alleviate Palestinian suffering, and pave the way for lasting peace in the region.

The Ministry urged Israeli authorities to de-escalate and avoid actions that could heighten tensions. It reaffirmed the UAE’s rejection of any practices that violate international resolutions and lead to further escalation.

Hamas has demanded the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Philadelphi Corridor and other parts of Gaza as part of any ceasefire deal. Meanwhile, Gulf countries have voiced solidarity with Egypt, criticizing Israel’s stance on the corridor.

Previously, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer accused Egypt of failing to prevent the smuggling of weapons into Gaza, claiming that the contraband enabled Hamas to carry out the October 7 attack.
