Israeli airstrikes killed at least 34 Palestinians on Wednesday as the Israeli army advanced with tanks into Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The strikes hit various areas of the Gaza Strip, leading to clashes with Hamas fighters.
Residents of Khan Younis reported that Israeli tanks unexpectedly pushed into the city centre, and the army issued evacuation orders to residents in the eastern part of the city, forcing many families to flee in search of safety while others remained trapped in their homes.
Palestinian health officials stated that the Israeli attacks on Khan Younis resulted in at least 11 deaths, according to Reuters.
In Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, where around a million people are seeking refuge, medics reported that an Israeli airstrike killed eight Palestinians near a school sheltering displaced families.
