The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that Israeli airstrikes on Friday claimed the lives of seven individuals, including a child, across various locations in southern Lebanon. Among the dead, Hezbollah confirmed that three of its fighters were killed.
Hezbollah, which has been exchanging fire with Israel in solidarity with Hamas since the start of the Gaza war on October 7, stated that the fighters were targeted by Israeli forces in the village of Tayr Harfa. The Lebanese state-run National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone strike in Aita al-Shaab killed two people, including a seven-year-old child, using two guided missiles.
The Israeli military confirmed that its aircraft targeted a “terrorist cell” in Tayr Harfa, stating that the cell was preparing to launch projectiles towards Israel. Earlier in the day, Hezbollah responded to Israeli attacks by striking the Meron base in northern Israel.
The ongoing conflict has escalated tensions across the region, with daily exchanges of fire between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, further complicating the situation in the already volatile Middle East.
