Cairo News Channel reported an urgent news story quoting Israeli media that energy facilities are threatened if a full-scale war breaks out with Hezbollah, according to a statement by the Israeli Energy Minister.

Clashes have been ongoing between Hezbollah and Israel for months, in parallel with the brutal occupation war on the Gaza Strip. These hostilities represent the worst conflict between the two sides since the 2006 war, stoking fears of a larger confrontation.

Since October 2023, there have been daily exchanges of fire between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, with increased tensions following Israel’s conflict in Gaza. Both sides have exchanged rocket fire and border skirmishes, raising concerns of a wider regional conflict.

Energy facilities are crucial for Israel’s economy and military operations. The threat to these installations could lead to significant disruptions in power supply, impacting civilian life and military capabilities.

The international community, including the United Nations and various countries, has expressed concern over the potential for a broader conflict. Diplomatic efforts are ongoing to de-escalate tensions and prevent a full-scale war.

Various Israeli officials have issued warnings about the severe consequences of an all-out war with Hezbollah, emphasizing the need for preparedness and the protection of critical infrastructure.
