In the early hours of Monday, two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Zarqa neighbourhood in northern Gaza City.

The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that two individuals were killed and at least 13 others, including women and children, were injured in the Israeli airstrikes on a house in the Al-Zarqa neighbourhood.

Local Palestinian sources mentioned that “Quadcopter” drones fired shots at agricultural lands in the Al-Hakar area of Deir al-Balah. Simultaneously, loud explosions were heard in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, coinciding with the presence of Israeli warplanes in the area.

Earlier on Monday morning, health sources in the Gaza Strip reported that three Palestinians, including a woman, were killed and others were seriously injured due to an airstrike on a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood in Gaza City.

On Sunday night, Gaza’s Civil Defense reported that their teams recovered two bodies from the Be’er Canada area in the Tel Sultan neighbourhood, west of Rafah, following an airstrike.

Additionally, Israeli warplanes targeted a house near the UAE field hospital in central Rafah.

Israeli forces have continued their offensive on the Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air since October 7, 2023.

This ongoing assault has resulted in the deaths of over 37,337 Palestinians and the injury of 85,299 others, according to preliminary figures, as thousands remain trapped under the rubble.

The Israeli army has announced it will implement a limited daily “tactical pause” along one of the main roads in the Gaza Strip to facilitate the delivery of increased humanitarian aid.

Despite this pause, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) emphasized that it should not be seen as a “cessation of hostilities in the southern Gaza Strip”.
