Saudi Arabian football is on the rise and has received another boost with Al-Ittihad reportedly planning to make a new €175 million move for Premier League star Mohamed Salah, according to Saudi media outlets. The Saudi Pro League club has sensationally offered Liverpool star Mohamed Salah a bombshell three-year contract worth £65 million per year. This contract would see Salah receive a weekly wage of £1.25 million, and with bonuses and sponsorships included, he would earn more than Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Sun Sport, Al-Ittihad is desperate to purchase Salah, with the Saudi Pro League transfer window running until September 20.
Salah would be provided with a private jet or unlimited plane tickets for his family, an offer to become an ambassador for tourism and investments in Saudi Arabia, and the possibility of having shares in a team in the future.
Salah signed a three-year contract at Anfield last year, making him Liverpool’s highest-paid player in history at around £400,000 per week.
Despite Liverpool’s determination to keep him, rumors of his relationship souring with manager Jurgen Klopp have emerged. Salah was visibly annoyed when Klopp substituted him in the 77th minute of the club’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea in their opening Premier League match.
