US Military Destroys Houthi Missile Launch Platforms

The US military announced on Tuesday the destruction of two anti-ship cruise missile launch platforms in an area controlled by the Houthi militia.

In a statement, US Central Command reported that its forces destroyed the platforms located in a Houthi-controlled region of Yemen.

The United States and the United Kingdom have been conducting airstrikes on Houthi positions in response to their targeting of commercial ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The Houthis claim these ships are bound for Israel.

The Houthis assert that they target ships owned or operated by Israeli companies, or those transporting goods to or from Israel, in solidarity with Gaza, which has been under Israeli attack since October 7.
