The Lebanese army has deployed in the Al-Qurnah Al-Sauda area of northern Lebanon following the fatal shooting of two young men and seized weapons and ammunition while arresting several individuals.

In a statement, the Lebanese army’s leadership stated that one citizen was shot in the Al-Qurnah Al-Sauda area, leading to his death, and another was later killed in the same area.

The army has deployed in the region and is investigating the matter to identify the culprits. The army also warned all citizens not to approach the military training area in Al-Qurnah Al-Sauda for their own safety.

Lebanese officials have condemned the incident, with the acting Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, calling for the perpetrators to be arrested and punished according to the law. The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges facing Lebanon.
