The US Department of Defense has awarded a contract to defense contractor Lockheed Martin for the production of High Mobility

The US Department of Defense has awarded a contract to defense contractor Lockheed Martin for the production of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) totaling over $861.3 million.

In a statement, the Pentagon announced, Lockheed Martin, headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, has been awarded a fixed-price contract valued at $861,333,188 for the production of HIMARS missile systems and support services.

The completion date for the order is specified as May 31, 2026.

The US Department of Defense did not disclose further details about the contract, nor did it specify the number of missile systems covered under the agreement.
