The Taliban police spokesperson in Kabul confirmed that an explosion occurred in the city’s western region, resulting in one death and three injuries.

The explosion, which took place on the evening of April 20th, was attributed to a magnetic mine attached to a minibus.

The attack was claimed by the terrorist group ISIS-Khorasan Province.

It happened in the Kuti-e-Sangi area of the third security district.

Eyewitnesses and residents reported the blast on social media, noting that Taliban forces hindered those trying to document the event.

The explosion led to at least 11 people being hospitalized.

The spokesperson noted that the driver of the minibus was killed, and three passengers were injured, with Taliban authorities investigating the scene.

Last month, a spokesperson for the Taliban government confirmed that some American citizens are detained in Afghanistan for violating the country’s laws.

Zabihullah Mujahid told the Afghan television channel “Tolo” that it is presumed that there are two American citizens, and he also confirmed ongoing talks with American officials.

Mujahid did not specify the nature of the alleged violations or the identities of the detainees.

A Taliban official added that when foreign nationals travel to Afghanistan, they must abide by Afghan laws, stating, “If they violate the rules, they will certainly face legal consequences.”

The exact number of foreigners detained in Afghanistan is unknown. An Austrian far-right extremist was not released until the end of February, after nine months of detention.
