In a significant diplomatic meeting, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia welcomed the Prime Minister of Spain, Mr. Pedro Sánchez, at the Royal Court in the Palace of Peace.

The meeting aimed to review the longstanding friendship between the two nations and explore avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

Additionally, the leaders delved into the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The discussions encompassed the concerning developments in the Gaza Strip and its vicinity, focusing on international efforts to halt Israeli military operations and address their security and humanitarian repercussions.

Both parties emphasized the imperative of advancing the peace process through the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly, as well as the Arab Peace Initiative, which seeks a just and comprehensive solution, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The importance of international pressure on Israel to cease its hostilities in Gaza and comply with international laws, allowing the entry of humanitarian aid without delay, was underscored during the meeting.

This dialogue underscores the commitment of Saudi Arabia and Spain to fostering stability and peace in the region while addressing pressing humanitarian concerns.
