The army in Burkina Faso announced that based on intelligence information, it set up an ambush in the eastern Komondjari province, resulting in the killing of over 100 terrorists within 24 hours, as reported by the official news agency yesterday.

The agency cited sources stating that special security forces learned two days ago of a large group of terrorists arriving in northern Gayeri, specifically to the village of Kiani.

Units from the Rapid Response Battalion 20 were mobilized based on the information to prevent them from launching attacks.

According to the agency, the terrorists began their movements early two days ago, accompanied by reconnaissance drones.

On the same day, an ambush was set up for the terrorists, and the army succeeded in killing several of them, while the survivors fled from the battlefield.

Preliminary information indicates that over 100 terrorists were killed during the battle, and the army seized 60 motorcycles, 50 assault rifles, ten machine guns, grenade launchers, thousands of ammunition rounds, and 60 tons of food supplies.

Additionally, there were reports of battles erupting in the north of the town of Kelbo, where security forces in Burkina Faso raided a terrorist base, killing several militants.
