The stage is set for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, as the preliminary draw was officially conducted at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday, 20 February. Following the successful conclusion of the 34th edition of the tournament, a total of 52 nations are gearing up for the upcoming qualifiers.
The preliminary stage will see eight lowest-ranked nations, based on the FIFA Rankings, engage in a home-and-away knockout format. The victorious four nations will then join the 44 others in the group stages of the qualifiers.
In this preliminary stage, the four lowest-ranked nations will host the first leg of the matches, with the return leg to be held by the higher-ranked opposing nations. Both home and away fixtures are scheduled to take place during the next FIFA International Break, occurring between 20 – 26 March 2024.

M1 & M2: Somalia vs Eswatini
M3 & M4: Sao Tome vs South Sudan
M5 & M6: Chad vs Mauritius
M7 & M8: Djibouti vs Liberia
