The Israeli military announced on Friday that it had killed dozens of militants in the past 24 hours, including two commanders of the elite forces of Hamas in the southern Gaza Strip’s Khan Younis and the central area of Al-Maghazi.
According to the military’s statement, approximately 20 militants were killed in Al-Maghazi, among them a leader of Hamas’s elite forces, as reported by the “Arab World News” agency.
The statement added that a fighter jet struck a military building belonging to the movement in Khan Younis, killing 7 militants, including an elite force commander who participated in the October 7 attack targeting settlements around the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, the forces killed 3 militants after spotting them leaving the house of a Hamas member and approaching the troops.
Palestinian television reported on Thursday evening the death of 8 people in bombing targeting the Al-Manara neighborhood in Khan Younis.
The Gaza Health Ministry announced on Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Strip had risen to 23,469 since October 7, while the number of injured increased to 59,604.
