The White House has reiterated the Biden administration’s rejection of Israel’s reoccupation of Gaza after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made statements to ABC News, in which he expressed his belief that Israel would oversee the security of the region for an indefinite period.

The American network quoted John Kirby, the spokesperson for the US National Security Council, regarding the differences between the American and Israeli visions for the future of Gaza.

He noted that the US president is steadfast in his position that reoccupation by Israeli forces is not the right choice.

This statement comes amidst ongoing discussions about the future of Gaza and the role Israel might play in it.

Netanyahu’s remarks had raised concerns about the possibility of Israeli forces returning to Gaza, which the Biden administration has firmly opposed.

The situation remains complex, and international efforts are ongoing to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

The Biden administration continues to emphasize the importance of a negotiated settlement that respects the rights and aspirations of all parties involved.

The US remains committed to supporting efforts to achieve a lasting and just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
