Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has confirmed that the Netherlands will continue sending humanitarian aid to Gaza.
In a statement posted on “X” today, Rutte expressed his condolences to all innocent victims of the violence.
Rutte emphasized the critical importance of innocent residents in Gaza having access to food, water, and medical care.
He underscored the Dutch commitment to providing humanitarian support during this challenging time.
More than 1,300 people, including elderly individuals and children, have been injured, and 350 others have lost their lives in the ongoing conflict.
Ambulances have also been targeted in Israeli airstrikes, hampering efforts to transport patients between medical facilities.
The Palestinian factions launched one of the most significant attacks in history on the occupied territories, resulting in hundreds of casualties and the capture of over 120 individuals from the occupied lands to Gaza.
Since then, Israeli forces have conducted intense and violent bombardments on Gaza, leading to the displacement, injury, and death of thousands of Palestinian civilians.
Calls for Palestinian refugees to leave the Gaza Strip have also emerged.
Egypt, in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed its grave concern over the Israeli army’s demand for Gaza residents, UN representatives, and international organizations to leave their homes within 24 hours and head south.
Egypt stressed that this action constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law, putting the lives of over one million Palestinian citizens and their families at risk by leaving them exposed to severe humanitarian and security conditions.
This also includes the overcrowding of hundreds of thousands in areas ill-suited for habitation.
Egypt called on the Israeli government to refrain from such escalatory steps due to their severe consequences on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Considering the grave developments, Egypt has called upon the United Nations Security Council to assume its responsibility in putting an end to this action, as outlined in the UN briefing scheduled for Friday.
