Israeli military aircraft unleashed intense airstrikes upon the Gaza Strip, leaving an appalling aftermath of demolished towers, homes, governmental bases, and Hamas leaders’ residences.

The ongoing Israeli bombardment has not only razed the 14-story “Watan” Tower, located in the heart of Gaza City, which housed offices and medical clinics but also gravely impacted the lives of local citizens by instilling fear, despair, and loss amidst the rubble.

Khalil Ayash, a citizen tragically affected by the strikes, shared his ordeal with “Sputnik” Agency, stating: “My family and I were living in the ‘Al-Jalaa’ tower, and I had a business in ‘Watan’. During the 2021 war, ‘Al-Jalaa’ was destroyed, and I lost my home. In this war, ‘Watan’ tower was destroyed, and I lost my livelihood.”

Ayash narrated the horrifying moment when they were evacuated to a nearby area as Israeli aircraft suddenly launched four missiles at “Watan.”

After a brief period of presumed finality, a deafening explosion enveloped the vicinity, scattering debris everywhere, causing significant damage to neighboring houses, and injuries to his children, and neighbors. Emerging from their shelter, they discovered the once-sturdy “Watan” reduced to ruins.

In the Nuseirat region in central Gaza, another citizen lost his life due to the Israeli shelling of agricultural land in the Abu Areiban area.

Furthermore, Israeli jets bombed targets in the Al-Bureij refugee camp, destroying a headquarters for the Committee to Follow Up Government Work west of Gaza City, and a Civil Affairs office in the northern Gaza Strip, inflicting profound damage to properties and critical infrastructure, while dozens of citizens suffered injuries in targeted residential areas.
