A joint statement by the Prisoners’ Club and the Prisoners Affairs Authority in Palestine stated that the number of arrests by the occupation forces of Palestinians since October 7 has risen to 8100 detainees.

The statement indicated that Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 15 Palestinians from the West Bank on Sunday, including former prisoners Liyan Nasser and Liyan Kaid, a postgraduate student at Birzeit University, in addition to a child and former detainees.

The Prisoners’ Club and the Prisoners Affairs Authority said in a joint statement that the arrests took place in the governorates of Hebron, Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Jenin, according to the Palestinian News Agency “WAFA.”

The statement added that the occupation forces continue to carry out widespread raids and abuse during arrest campaigns, accompanied by brutal beatings, threats against detainees and their families, direct shooting with the intent to kill, as well as extensive sabotage and destruction operations in citizens’ homes.

It pointed out that the number of arrests includes those who were arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who were pressured to surrender themselves, and those who were taken hostage.
