At least seven people were killed and dozens injured after a drone attack took place on a military college in Syria’s Homs province, Syrian state TV reported on Thursday.
Local sources have reported that ambulances have transported the injured from the Military College in Homs to the military hospital after it was targeted by a drone strike during a graduation ceremony for officer cadets.
The Defense Minister was present at the Military College during the incident.
As of now, no further details have been provided regarding the responsible party for the attack.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has confirmed the death of 7 individuals and the injury of more than 20 Syrian officers due to a powerful explosion in the vicinity of the Military College in Homs.
This explosion resulted from a drone attack that occurred during the graduation ceremony at the Military College. Ambulances rushed to the scene to transport the wounded to the military hospital.
Last month, the United States Central Command forces successfully ensnared a crucial Daesh official, Mamduh Ibrahim Al-Hajji Shaykh, during a meticulously executed helicopter raid in northern Syria on September 28.
This noteworthy apprehension adds to the spate of success the forces have observed in their endeavors to dismantle Daesh operations and networks within the region.
