5 Killed & 20 Injured in Road Accident in Pakistan

A road crash in the Rajanpur district of Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province took place on Sunday and killed at least five people, according to a rescue official.

District Chief of the Rescue-1122 Aslam stated that a bus overturned after the driver of the vehicle fell asleep and lost control in the Fazilpur area of Rajanpur.

The rescue official revealed that a total of 20 people were injured, adding that the death toll might rise because several of the injured were in critical condition.

Police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted bodies and the injured to a nearby hospital. condition.

Media outlets reported that the bus was on its way back to Jacobabad district from a shrine of Sufi saint Sakhi Sarwar in the south region of Punjab.

The victims also included women and two children who belonged to the same village.

Local police ordered a blood test on the bus driver who was also injured in the accident, fearing that he might take hashish before starting the journey.
