The National News Agency of Lebanon reported today, Sunday, that the town of Adaisseh in Marjayoun was once again targeted by artillery and phosphorus shells. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the shelling resulted in four civilians being wounded, with two requiring hospitalization to complete their treatment, while the other two were treated in emergency settings.
Since the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year, Hezbollah and Israel have exchanged daily shelling across the Lebanese-Israeli border. Hezbollah primarily targets Israeli military sites in attacks launched from southern Lebanon in support of Gaza and its resistance, while Israel responds by targeting what it describes as “military infrastructure” belonging to the group, as well as its fighters.
These confrontations have led to the displacement of tens of thousands of Lebanese and Israelis and have raised concerns about the potential expansion of the ongoing 12-month war in the Gaza Strip.
