The Israeli military has reported that 24 of its soldiers were injured in the past 24 hours.

According to Cairo News, six of these injuries occurred in Gaza, while the remaining 18 were a result of attacks by Hezbollah in Lebanon.

This latest development underscores the intensifying violence in the region.

Earlier, Inas Hamdan, the acting head of the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) media office, expressed deep concern over recent incidents.

Hamdan reported that a school in Nuseirat, located in central Gaza and operated by UNRWA, had been struck. Although the exact number of casualties remains unconfirmed, initial reports from UNRWA indicate that the death toll could range between 35 and 45.

Hamdan emphasized that this was not the first time an UNRWA facility had been targeted during the current conflict.

She highlighted the inability to ascertain the specific reasons behind these attacks on UNRWA properties, suggesting that the ongoing war had crossed numerous boundaries.

The recent surge in violence comes amidst a protracted and deeply entrenched conflict between Israel and militant groups in Gaza and Lebanon.

Gaza, governed by Hamas, has been a focal point of repeated military engagements with Israel. The ongoing hostilities have led to significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
