Two individuals were killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting a house on Tuesday evening in the town of Adaisseh, located in southern Lebanon’s eastern sector, according to reports on Wednesday.
Hezbollah has confirmed the deaths of two of its members in the attack.
The Israeli military announced on Tuesday night that its fighter jets had struck Hezbollah targets in four different locations in southern Lebanon.
The targets included what was described as a “Hezbollah terrorist cell” in Adaisseh, a rocket-launching site in Halta, and military installations in Adaisseh. Additional strikes were reported in Yaroun, Maroun al-Ras, and Aita al-Shaab.
Hezbollah identified the deceased as Mohammad Ali Boutaam and Ali Hassan Sultan, both members of the organization.
In a related development, the Israeli military declared the Jabal al-Jarmaq area in Safed, northern Israel, a closed military zone until the following Monday.
The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and the Israeli military continues along the front, with Israeli strikes penetrating deeper into the border regions of Lebanon and Syria.
On Tuesday evening, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for targeting four significant Israeli military positions along the southern border with Lebanon, asserting that the attacks resulted in direct hits.
