White House National Security Council Spokesperson Sean Savett emphasised the United States’ commitment to increasing humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza. He acknowledged and welcomed the recent airdrop by the UAE, which delivered food parcels to central Gaza.
Savett also noted that aid deliveries to northern Gaza have resumed this week, including shipments from Jordan, which has served as a critical supply route. “We note the resumption of deliveries this week into northern Gaza, including through the vital lifeline from Jordan, with 129 trucks entering northern Gaza this week, after an unacceptable slowdown since October 1st,” he stated.
He stressed that the flow of aid must continue to increase in the coming week and commended Jordan for its leadership in organising the aid deliveries.
The UAE’s Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence has carried out the 53rd airdrop of humanitarian aid under the “Birds of Goodness” operation.
This mission is part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to support Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, particularly in hard-to-reach areas. The latest airdrop delivered 80 tonnes of food and relief supplies, bringing the total aid delivered through the operation to 3,623 tonnes.
These efforts highlight the UAE’s commitment to easing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by providing essential aid to those in need. The ongoing “Birds of Goodness” operation aims to address the urgent requirements of isolated communities and ensure that vital resources reach those affected by the conflict.
