Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, received a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday evening, during which they discussed the evolving situations in Gaza and Sudan.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two officials “reviewed the developments on the regional scene and ways to de-escalate tensions in the area” during their conversation.
The dialogue also covered issues of mutual interest, notably the situation in Sudan, developments in the Gaza Strip and its vicinity, and the importance of facilitating the entry of more humanitarian aid into Gaza.
King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia emphasized the necessity of halting aggressions against the Palestinian people and establishing their independent state in a statement last Tuesday.
This high-level engagement between Saudi Arabia and the United States reflects the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address regional conflicts and underscores the commitment of both nations to peace and stability in the Middle East.
