The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the destruction of eight drones launched by the Houthis over the Red Sea within the past 24 hours.
Additionally, CENTCOM forces successfully destroyed two unmanned explosive boats deployed by the Houthis.
In a statement, CENTCOM detailed the successful interception and destruction of eight Houthi drones launched from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen over the Red Sea.
Moreover, CENTCOM forces managed to destroy two unmanned surface vessels (explosive boats) belonging to the Houthis in the Red Sea.
Separately, an allied vessel engaged and neutralized another drone launched from Houthi-controlled territory over the Red Sea.
CENTCOM also reported that the Houthis launched an anti-ship ballistic missile from Yemen’s Houthi-controlled regions over the Red Sea.
The statement assured that no injuries or damage were reported from US or allied vessels, nor from commercial ships.
Earlier, Ambrey, a British maritime security company, reported that a commercial vessel had reported an explosion nearby in the Red Sea, approximately 19 nautical miles west of Mocha, Yemen.
Separately, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported two explosions near a ship about 27 nautical miles south of Mocha.
In its statement, UKMTO confirmed there were no reports of damage and that all crew members were safe. The vessel is continuing to its next port of call.
