The British Maritime Trade Operations announced that a ship sailing 50 nautical miles southeast of the Yemeni city of Aden reported two explosions at sea on Friday.
The British Maritime Trade Operations stated that the ship was not attacked or damaged, and the crew members are safe.
According to the statement, the targeted vessel’s captain directed it to the incoming port. Authorities are investigating the incident, while Ambrey, a maritime security company, acknowledged an incident about 52 nautical miles south of Aden and is investigating.
Earlier, the Houthi group Ansar Allah claimed that Washington and London bear the consequences of militarizing the Red Sea, stressing that targeting Israeli ships or those heading to Israel aims to pressure to stop the war on Gaza.
Ansar Allah targets cargo ships in the Red Sea owned and operated by Israeli companies, carrying goods to and from Israel in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza. In response, the United States and its allies formed a military force to deal with Houthi strikes. Earlier, American and British aircraft launched multiple strikes on various areas in Yemen.
