UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has embarked on a significant visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, marking the beginning of an important dialogue between the two nations. His arrival at Cairo International Airport was met with a warm reception from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The meeting between the two leaders was characterized by an exchange of greetings for the holy month of Ramadan, underscoring the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Egypt. Discussions revolved around strengthening collaboration across economic, developmental, and political spheres within the framework of their strategic partnership.
Key topics on the agenda included deliberations on regional and international issues, with a focus on the evolving situation in the Middle East. Of paramount importance was the urgent humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Both leaders underscored the necessity of immediate, secure, and unhindered aid delivery to alleviate the plight of Gaza’s residents. Additionally, they emphasized the imperative of intensified efforts to secure a sustainable ceasefire, aimed at fostering lasting peace in the region.
