The United Arab Emirates (UAE) declared a three-day mourning period with flags at half-mast after the passing of the President’s brother, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed.
According to the official UAE news agency, WAM (Emirates News Agency), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, mourned the death of his brother, Sheikh Saied bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who served as the representative of the ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The sad news was announced on Thursday.
In an official statement, the Presidential Court declared, “A three-day official mourning period will be observed with flags lowered at half-mast, starting from Thursday, July 27, and ending at the close of Saturday, July 29.”
