Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the ongoing crisis in Gaza on Sunday, labeling it as the world’s largest tragedy for women and children.

During an event in Istanbul, Erdogan criticized Western nations for supplying Israel with weapons, enabling what he described as “massacres” in Gaza.

He emphasized that the situation in Gaza underscores the failure of international institutions and called for greater global action to address the humanitarian crisis.

Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to supporting the people of Gaza and called on the Islamic world to step up efforts to alleviate their suffering.

He stressed that Israel’s actions are not isolated, but are supported by numerous backers.

Israel, on the other hand, maintains that its military actions in Gaza are aimed at targeting militant groups launching rockets into Israeli territory and defending its citizens.

The situation remains volatile, with ongoing efforts by international mediators to broker a ceasefire and ease tensions in the region.
