Tunisia’s Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Abdel Monem Belati, has engaged in discussions to enhance bilateral cooperation with Indonesia in the fields of cloud seeding and technological transformation of weather systems.
The discussions took place during his visit to the Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 10th World Water Forum, currently being held on the Indonesian island of Bali.
The Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture released a statement highlighting that Belati was briefed on Indonesia’s advanced practices and technologies in cloud seeding and weather technology.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination and initiate the necessary communications to foster fruitful collaboration in these crucial areas.
The Indonesian representatives expressed their full readiness to establish a comprehensive cooperation program, focusing on exchanging expertise, training, and the transfer of the latest technologies to Tunisia.
This visit is part of Tunisia’s broader efforts to explore innovative methods to enhance its water resources and stay abreast of the latest global advancements in cloud seeding.
The initiative aims to exchange best practices and adopt the most successful global experiences in this domain.
