Halima Idris, a journalist, was tragically killed on Tuesday, being run over by a vehicle of the Rapid Support Forces in Omdurman. Sudan BeKora channel unveiled the shocking incident, stating that Idris was struck by the vehicle during her journalistic coverage.
The Sudanese Journalists Union and the Journalists Network have recorded numerous violations against journalists amid conflicts, including killings, abductions, arrests, and lootings. Violations have also targeted media institution premises and journalists’ residences, jeopardizing media personnel’s safety and security across the board.
