The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea reported that North Korea recently launched two short-range ballistic missiles into its eastern sea.
American news network, “ABC News,” noted on Tuesday that this news comes in the wake of the United States deploying a nuclear-armed submarine in South Korea for the first time in decades.
Quoting the South Korean military, the American news network reported that the area of the North Korean missile launch is near the capital, Pyongyang, and they flew approximately 550 kilometers (341 miles) before landing in the eastern waters of the Korean Peninsula.
This launch operation represents North Korea’s first ballistic activity since July 12, when North Korea tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile powered by solid fuel, which demonstrated a potential range to reach the heartland of the United States,” according to “ABC News.”
