The Saudi embassy in Baghdad confirmed the deaths of two individuals in Iraq following the results of ongoing investigations into the incident.

Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, announced that two individuals, a Kuwaiti and a Saudi citizen who were earlier reported missing, have been found dead in Iraq.

The foreign minister noted that the bodies were discovered in Iraq’s western Anbar province and are believed to be the missing Kuwaiti national and his Saudi friend.

The Saudi Arabian embassy in Baghdad has acknowledged the death of both nationals and is actively collaborating with Iraqi authorities to understand the details and ongoing investigations of the event.

“Two bodies found by Iraqi authorities are believed to be those of a missing Kuwaiti and his Saudi companion who had disappeared in the western Anbar province,” the foreign minister said.

Both the embassy of the Kingdom and the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister have expressed their deep sorrow over the incident and offered their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.

Furthermore, Al-Sabah stated that the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry is working in close partnership with the Iraqi authorities to delve into the details surrounding the deaths.

He has instructed the Kuwaiti Embassy in Baghdad to be involved in the investigation and commended Iraq for its role in locating the deceased individuals.
