Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met with his Tunisian counterpart, Nabil Ammar, who is currently visiting the kingdom, to discuss key developments on both regional and international fronts.

During their meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday, Saudi foreign minister reviewed the strong fraternal relations between the two countries with Ammar.

The ministers explored ways to enhance and develop these relations across various domains, in addition to deliberating on the latest regional and international developments and the efforts being made in that regard, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Following the meeting, the foreign ministers co-chaired the third session of the Saudi-Tunisian Political Follow-up and Consultation Committee.

Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying bilateral and multilateral coordination on numerous issues of mutual interest.

They also discussed the agenda items, aiming to further strengthen the fraternal ties between the two sisterly nations.

The committee’s discussions are expected to revolve around avenues to enhance bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries.

This visit will also cover discussions on regional developments and various shared concerns, as reported by the Tunisian press.

It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia had announced in late July last year its provision of an interest-free loan and grant to Tunisia amounting to $500 million, as reported by the SPA.
