The Saudi Ministry of Sports announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the Italian Super Cup for the fourth time from January 18 to 22, 2024. The tournament will feature four prominent clubs: Inter Milan, Napoli, Lazio, and Fiorentina.

According to the Ministry’s statement, the matches will be held at the “Al-Oula Park” stadium in Riyadh and will follow a knockout format. The first match will see Napoli facing Fiorentina on Thursday, January 18, 2024. The following day, Inter Milan, the previous edition’s champion, will compete against Lazio.
The winners of these matches will advance to the final game, scheduled for the evening of Monday, January 22.

This edition marks the fourth time the Italian Super Cup, a prestigious football event, is hosted in Saudi Arabia. The first edition was held in Jeddah, where Juventus claimed the title by defeating AC Milan. Riyadh hosted the second edition, with Lazio emerging victorious against Juventus, and also the third edition, which saw Inter Milan defeat AC Milan to win the title.

The tournament is part of a series of international sports events hosted by Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative to enhance its global sports presence.

Saudi Arabia has been actively hosting a range of international sports events in recent years, becoming a significant destination for global sporting activities. This is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a regional and international hub for sports and culture. The country has successfully organized various events, including the FIFA Club World Cup, and is planning to host more in the future. These initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to enhance its cultural and sports sectors, contributing to its economic growth and international presence.
