Saudi Arabia Introduces E-Visa Waivers for UK Citizens

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the launch of an Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) program for citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

This new program allows British nationals planning to visit Saudi Arabia to enter the Kingdom without the need to obtain a visit visa in advance.

They will be allowed to stay for a period of up to six months on a single entry.
The EVW is available to British visitors coming to Saudi Arabia for various purposes, including business, tourism, study, and medical treatment.

With this waiver, UK citizens can enjoy a simplified entry process and stay in the Kingdom for an extended period without the hassle of applying for a visit visa beforehand.
To obtain the EVW, British nationals need to fill out the designated application form on the Unified National Visa Platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The application can be submitted between 90 days and 48 hours before the intended travel date. The visa approval will be sent to the applicant via email within 24 hours of submission.

This move comes after the United Kingdom introduced a similar EVW facility for Saudi citizens in June 2022.

Now, Saudi citizens traveling to the UK can also benefit from a hassle-free visa process for short stays. However, it’s important to note that visa requirements for work, study, and settlement in the UK remain in place.
