Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met with his Lebanese counterpart, Abdallah Bou Habib, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
The discussions focused on the current developments in Lebanon, particularly the increasing violence and its implications for the security and stability of the country and the wider region.
Both officials underscored the importance of maintaining Lebanon’s stability and respecting its sovereignty in accordance with international law.
In a separate engagement, Prince Faisal bin Farhan also met with Bolivia’s Foreign Minister, Celinda Sosa, at the Saudi Mission to the United Nations in New York.
During this meeting, the two nations signed a memorandum of understanding regarding political consultations, and explored avenues for enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors.
They also reviewed significant updates on the international stage and discussed ongoing global efforts.
Furthermore, the Saudi minister met with Andrii Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, where they assessed the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Ukraine and discussed the developments of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
Lastly, Prince Faisal bin Farhan held discussions with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, to address the latest regional and international developments and the efforts made to establish international peace and security.
This series of meetings highlights Saudi Arabia’s active diplomatic engagement in addressing regional crises and strengthening international ties, showcasing its role as a key player in promoting stability and dialogue on pressing global issues.
