The Armed Forces are set to participate in the “Eager Lion 2024” exercise, scheduled from May 12 to May 23, 2024, in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This strategic military exercise will see participation from units alongside forces from 31 other allied and friendly nations.
Major General Adel Al-Balawi, head of the Training and Development Authority of the Armed Forces, emphasized that the exercise aims to foster experience exchange, joint operation planning and execution, missile air defense operations, alongside counterterrorism and maritime security operations to address regional threats.
The exercise is designed to train participating forces in border security operations and enhance the military capabilities of units in crisis management.
Major General Al-Balawi noted that the participating forces will undertake field training to bolster the concept of joint operations.
This includes joint targeting operations, missile air defense, counterterrorism in populated areas, hostage rescue operations, as well as defense and attack maneuvers using armored vehicles and tanks, cyber operations, and strategic communications and information operations.
Represented by the General Staff Presidency and the Joint Forces Command, along with branches of the armed forces (land, air, naval, and air defense), the armed forces will participate in “Eager Lion 2024” with actual forces, planning officers, and observer officers.
