In a recent development, 34 children from families of Russian ISIS members have reportedly left camps in northeast Syria. The departure was facilitated through coordination between the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration and a delegation from the Russian government.
This action aligns with agreements signed between the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration and countries with citizens held in camps within areas controlled by the administration.
Similar efforts were noted earlier in July when the Department of Foreign Relations in northern and eastern Syria handed over two women and three children with Canadian citizenship, who were part of ISIS families in Rouj camp in Al-Hasakah countryside. The transfer was conducted in collaboration with a Canadian delegation led by Victoria Filler, Director General of Consular Operations at the Canadian Foreign Ministry, and the Canadian envoy to Syria for the areas under the Autonomous Administration.
These initiatives underscore ongoing diplomatic efforts and cooperation between the Autonomous Administration and various countries to address the complex situation of families associated with ISIS in the region.
